Rafting on the Belá River – a Unique Experience beneath the Tatras
The Belá River is the only naturally raftable river beneath Kriváň and offers unforgettable rafting in the beautiful natural surroundings of the Tatra region. We recommend this adrenaline-filled experience to anyone who wants to enjoy a combination of wild water, mountains, and exceptional views of the High and Western Tatras in the Liptov region.
Season and Rafting Conditions
Rafting on the Belá River is possible mainly in spring, usually from late April to May, depending on snowmelt in the Tatras or heavy rainfall.
The minimum water level required for rafting is 60 cm at Podbanské.
During the season, rafting is available 7 days a week.
Basic Information
- Difficulty: medium, up to WW III+
- Meeting time: usually 10:00 a.m. (may vary depending on conditions)
- Total duration: approximately 2.5 hours, from arrival to departure
- Time on the water: around 60 minutes
- Route: Podbanské (Kokavský Bridge) – Pribylina
Commercial rafting takes place on the upper section of the river.
Expedition Rafting
For more demanding guests, we offer an extended rafting trip:
- Route: Pribylina – Liptovský Hrádok
- Duration: up to 4 hours, depending on conditions
- Meeting time: usually 2:00 p.m.
Organisation and Logistics

While you are being equipped, we will arrange the transfer of your cars to the rafting finish point. Our van will then take the drivers back to the starting point, where they will rejoin the group.
Local transport is fully arranged.
Safety and Experience
Our certified and experienced rafting instructors provide professional instructions and supervise your safety throughout the entire rafting trip.
- There is an instructor in every raft.
- Rafting is also suitable for beginners.

We use 6-person rafts:
- Ideal capacity: 4–5 clients + 1 instructor
- Minimum: 2–3 people, charged at the price of four
- Capacity may vary depending on the river water level
On the Belá River, you will enjoy dynamic sections where you can make full use of your rafting skills.
